Acupuncture For Diabetic Neuropathy

The scientific investigation of acupuncture in diabetes includes
both experimental and clinical studies. Animal experiments
have shown that acupuncture can cause the pancreas to inhance
insulin synthesis, increase the number of receptors on target cells,
and speed up the use of glucose, that results in lowering of blood
sugar.

Painful diabetic neuropathy has been successfully treated in
77 percent of patients treated with acupuncture in one study.
That success rate is excellent and there are no side effects with
acupuncture.

When done properly by a trained professional, acupuncture is
extremely safe.

Conventional medicine only offers pain relievers, antipileptic
drugs, and antidepressants for neuropathy.
