Peanuts Help Against Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is on the rise, but research shows that
small changes in the diet and getting more exercise
can decrease the risk of getting it. Also, the same
behavior changes can help people that already have
diabetes.

A recent study identified magnesium as a possible
mechanism for protection against type 2 diabetes.
Getting enough magnesium helps insulin function
properly in the body.

Further research has shown that regular consumption
of peanuts increases diatary magnesium to adequate
levels.

Five one ounce servings of peanuts per week has been
shown to decrease the risk of developing type 2
diabetes by twenty-seven persent.

A one ounce serving of peanut butter is about the size
of a golf ball. Dry peanuts would be a small hand full.

You don't have to live with the risks of diabetes.
